Boring work for exciting games...

Today i spent much time with the startup menu. Also started the settings menu. Actually working with menus is very boring for a developer - especially if you already created some. But oh well - we really need a startup menu - every proper game has one. I think i already mentioned before why VR menus are much harder to make than 2D menus - always have to adjust positioning, create (dummy) 3D objects that hold them and handle them. Not so much fun.

I've been experimenting a bit with the settings menu - trying to display it on a vintage laptop screen - which does look quite cool. I hope it's also usable that way.

I also worked on some more technical aspects to improve overall rendering - adjusting the screen resolution to the VR headset and i also started using a new antialiasing method which will hopefully make the appearance a bit less blurry.

I am also currently working on the physical player model (Body mode > Ghost mode) and i think the game mode skeleton i made could actually work fine. But before we get to a major breakthrough here it's still a lot of work.

I really wanna try to get the first public demo finished soon. I know - it's not really interesting to my existing Patrons here - but so far that will be the only way to attract more supporters - and i could really use the funds to finally buy a used VR headset (My Oculus DK2 sucks software wise and has no controllers, so it's more of an old gimmick).
