Time Travel Video
As decided by this vote, the next video is going to be about time travel! I've now worked out the structure and format of the video. After mapping it out, I can see that it's going to be 12 minutes 49 seconds long!
I've decided to call it "Top 9 ways to make Time Travel". HOWEVER, it won't follow the same format as the other 'Top 9' videos at all. It's going to be a lot weirder and it's going to mess around with the format a lot. Basically, I'm planning on doing some fake 'time travel' during the video itself. I don't know if I've gone a bit too crazy with this one but I'd rather take risks and learn along the way!
Overall, I currently have 21 time travel implementations planned for my little physics engine! This number might decrease as I edit down the video though.
TimePond
So, of course... I need to actually code all that time travel stuff. This week, I've made the base physics for the engine. You can now spawn frogs, boxes and platforms, and throw them around. I tried to find a good balance between: Interesting enough to be fun to use. And simple enough so that I can actually code the time travel stuff.
I've also made a base 'portal' object. The portal will be how most of the time travel happens. For example, a frog falls into a portal, and leaves another portal 5 seconds earlier.
The other key thing about the engine is that it has multiple 'timelines' going at the same time. This is important for some of the planned time travel approaches.

Music
For the new video, I decided to go for four different remixes of 'Rift' by Matt Lange. My idea is that you will hear different variations of the same track throughout the video - to represent the different branching possibilities of time travel! These are the four tracks I'll use:
In my previous video, I had a bit of practice mixing the two final songs together. So it was nice to build on that. In the time travel video, the whole thing will be one giant mix. And I've done some weird reverse-audio shenanigans to build on the whole "timey-wimey" theme.

Huegene
I made a Huegene element! It's an element that grows. Each time it grows, it randomly tweaks the hue of its colour a little bit. This results in quite a colourful thing!
My next step is to make little herbivore atoms that go round eating the huegene, which also mutate colour over time. I'll do that next.

I helped Slackermanz to get his cellular automata engine working on Windows. It looks absolutely amazing! I highly recommend checking out his work.
I really hope I can feature this engine in the Tourism 2 video, which also did quite well in the video vote.
