Good news! I finally managed to get sand to fall from one device to another. This connects together two different engines and computers, allowing you to make a much bigger sand world. Currently, I have my desktop running an engine written in WebGL. When sand gets to the bottom of the screen, it falls down to my laptop's engine, written in WebAssembly. This stitches together a 3000x3000 world with a 1500x1500 world. Altogether, that's over 11 million atoms (new personal best - hooray 🎉)!

But we can go bigger! Next, I'm going to get my phone to connect to my desktop, so that sand can fall from my phone to my desktop. Each connection will be managed by a different server, so this should be a proof-of-concept of an 'indefinitely-scalable' sand world!?!? Or at least... as close as I can get to it without using special hardware like the T2 Tile.

Then... I can finish the video and hopefully release it on the 30th or 31st July. Get ready!

Secret Club

My main goal with this patreon page was to learn about the platform and to explore ways of releasing FROGGY CONTENT. Now that I've been using it for a couple of months, I think I've discovered how I want to use it...

When I started posting videos and clips (quite a long time ago), I enjoyed posting up anything and everything I made. To my pleasant surprise, some people enjoyed it too.

As time has gone on, I have built higher and higher standards for myself. I find myself holding back content, and only releasing more polished things. This helps me to make higher quality videos... But I do miss being able to share what I make as soon as I make it.

That's where patreon comes in! On patreon, I will share everything I create (in depth) with the people who are most interested. And it's all behind closed doors, so it won't impact on my video releases (or clog up my social media). It's a secret club where I can share juicy froggy content - as soon as it happens.

I feel very privileged that I'm able to share my projects and journey with you. And I will try my best to do a good job, regardless of how many (or how few) patrons I have!
