What's new this week?

Three Winners
Lots of people have now voted for what the next video should be, which is great! Unbelievably... it's a three-way tie! Three videos are currently in joint-first place!
I did promise... "I will make the video that wins the vote."
So... I will make all three videos!
That means, this is our video schedule for the next few months (working titles):
November: 📺 SandPond Saga
December: 📌 Tourism 2: Off-Road
January: ✋ Drag & Drop
You might be thinking... 'What about the January vote?' The January video should be decided by patrons too (according to our plan).
To make sure that patrons still get another vote for January... I will release TWO videos in January (instead of just one). So we'll also have this video:
Late January: ??? (decided by patrons)
Thanks for voting! And I hope you're looking forward to the videos!

SandPond Saga
I've started making the November video. It's all about how I actually make my videos. It has been quite tricky to figure out what to do for this one. I think it's harder because it's more introspective than usual. It's not a video about coding, or sand, or frogs... It's a video about ME. It feels a bit strange, and slightly self-indulgent. But I do believe that it's a video worth making.
I did write out a script and storyboard, and I even started recording the voiceover for it. But... something felt wrong about it all. Every time I watched parts of it back, I thought, "so what?" I don't think I communicated the WHY behind the video enough. So I went back to the storyboard, and I've started rewriting the script.
Now, the premise of the video will be to answer the question 'What IS the SandPond Saga?' And it will look back at my previous videos (and how they were made) to try to answer that question. I think it is now starting to have a clearer purpose. It will certainly be a weird one though! (just like usual, I guess)

MotherTode
Patron (and Froggy Hero) Magnogen has been helping me to explore some improvements and fixes for MotherTode. It's all visible at github.com/l2wilson94/MotherTode/issues
It's my language that I use to write other languages, and I hope that I can get it ready for Advent of Code this year. Maybe one day, I could make a video about it too.
I've now cleaned up the MotherTode documentation so that it's shorter, and more up-to-date. Check it out at l2wilson94.gitbook.io/mothertode
And here is a list of some MotherTode features that are on-the-way.
✨ Thank you for supporting me and my projects! I hope you enjoy hearing about what's new, and taking part in choosing what will happen next! See you next week! 🐸
