Giga-Tode

I've been working hard on making the next video, 📺 Screens in Screens in Screens! And this week, I've been making ultra-high-definitions of the tode, berd, and bot images. I've been turning them into a vector format, so that I can have them as any size I want. But why!? Let me explain...

So, when I made my previous video, I enjoyed playing around with having different visuals zoom in and out from each other. I thought it would be a bit less boring than just having them appear on the screen. And I really liked how it went.

In the next video, I'm using the same technique again for some of the scenes. This means that... at some points, you get an extreme close-up of the tode image. And you end up seeing all of its blurry pixels. By making a vector version of it, you get a nice-and-smooth line instead! (no matter how far you zoom in)

Voice

I also finished writing the script for the video! And I've now recorded all of my voice-overs! I used to find it hard to record my voice. It always felt so awkward, and it took a lot of takes! But nowadays, I sort of enjoy it.

I suppose... one reason I feel less embarrassment about it is... it's not really 'my' voice. I put on a strange/sleepy/dozy voice for it, which makes it more of a character's voice than my own.

Also, I actually bought a new (+ better) microphone! But for this video, I still used my old dodgy one, except for one small bit at the end (while I'm still getting used to the new one).

Past Future

Something from the past... Do you remember the 🌀 Time Travel video? I finally got round to listing some presets that you can try out. They're listed on with the TimePond engine, for you to try. Just don't go breaking time!!

Something for the future... The video vote decided that the next video would be 🔮 Spellular Automata. But I like to plan two videos ahead. So... so far, I have most of the 📕 Define Define video planned. And I've also started making an engine called ArrowPond for 🎵 Arrows in Arrows in Arrows (but it's still in its very early stages). I'm not sure which one will be ready first, but I'll keep working on them in downtime!
