Victory
I've been working hard on making the next video, π Define Define. And I've been coding some little coding projects for it.
One thing that I started a while back is: A little game where you have to 'catch' berds by clicking on them.
The gimmick behind this game is that: It's made entirely with HTML and CSS (no JavaScript allowed). These languages are not typically used to make complete games - it's not very easy to make game logic with them. But I've now managed to add a victory screen to the game (for when you catch all the berds)!
Previously, I used 'checkbox' elements for the berds. When the berds were 'checked', they became caged.
But I've now changed them to 'details' elements. When you click on a details element on a website, it expands to show some extra detail. I made all of the berds start expanded when the game loads. And the 'extra detail' is a big rectangle covering up a victory message. When you've finally clicked on all of the berds to 'close' them... The victory message is revealed!
I've now started the next step: Make the game in Microsoft PowerPoint as well!
Lines
In the last few videos, I've used a little tool called PaintPond to create some of the clips of tode + berd drawing things (with a paintbrush).
In preparation for the next video... I've added a new character: bot! I wonder why we'd need them? πΈπ€
(by the way, you can press the 'tab' key to swap through all the characters)

It's not working with touch screens at the moment, but I've gotta keep pressing on with the video! Things are starting to come together for it - and I can't wait to show you more!
