🐸 TODEPOND PONDCAST 🐸
What's new this week?

Lisbon
I was in Lisbon this week. I gave a talk about CellPond.
You can watch it here! (starts at 1:51:41)
It was at an academic conference. I have no idea how I got accepted. I just sent them some of my videos.
I met one of the people that reviewed my submission. He said he was shocked when he saw my submission. He asked an organiser "Is this allowed?" ... I guess it was!
I'm really pleased they accepted me. It was so fun. And people seemed to really like my talk. It was nice seeing people's faces and reactions throughout it. There was a mixture of wonder and fear.

Chat
As always, the best part of doing a talk happens after it ends. In the following day and a half, I met so many people, and had so many conversations about "weird coding".
These types of conversation are so useful. People come to me with fresh ideas and fresh takes on things. Sometimes, it seems so obvious as soon as they say it. But it took a fresh pair of eyes to realise it. And sometimes, that person has different and/or more experience than me - which they can share with me in some way.
Thank you to everyone who watched the talk, or chatted with me about it in some way! I can't quite believe I did that. I hope I can do more!

Recording
I also did loads of work on Arroost. There were some big performance boosts and bug fixes. But that's not so fun. The most fun thing is...
You can record sounds now.
Finally! Something that was in the original proof-of-concept is finally here. Except, this time, you can add it to the Arroost machine.
You can now 'hear' the sound of a pulse moving around the network. And you can 'hear' it skip ahead when you add in some time-travel.
I'm so excited about. I'm playing with it a lot. I think that's a good sign.
There'll be more next week. Thanks for sticking around for the long-haul. And thank you for funding my work. When I started all of this, I never expected to be travelling across countries to share it with people. Crazy. Wherever you are this week... I hope you have a good one 🐸

I watched the live stream on bit of a delay. You totally blew their minds! There was an audible gasp in room when you split cells! 🤯 😂
