post-kickstarter thoughts and feelings...

hi my rotterlings! ❤️ since i had a pre-kickstarter nerves post, i figure it is only right that i offer a post-kickstarter launch (... well, 4 days since) update post.

oh, man. i did not expect the overwhelming amount of love that we got straight away on the kickstarter. was absolutely not expecting to be funded within 6hr 30min (which! is such a record, at least in my book!) and it's still so difficult to wrap my head around. the number on the big 'ole kickstarter page doesn't look or feel real to me.

but what does feel real is the amount of love that my community has showered me and the team. from the sheer volume of enthusiasm on day 1, trying to get the goal to hit right-away (i have backread quite some and i have seen the hype, as well as seen the amount of receipts of your pledges being sent in chat), to the excitement for our prints and keychains, and at our stretch goals (like the feluca dlc, which we hit yesterday!). experiencing all of this has been nothing short of wonderful.

i'm excited and so incredibly grateful for all of your love and support: it's been astonishing. and i am so thankful for you guys, especially, for supporting me the whole way before and up until the kickstarter (and even after it!): that you were there for me through the process and continue to be means so much. i will do my very best to deliver on your belief in me! 🫡

i'll be back with more sneak previews and even concept art soon (wink wink... ai hua... wink wink), but for now, please consider this a massive thank you from me :D i'm super happy with how far we got with the kickstarter, which has blown past even my wildest dreams. and perhaps (with a little hail mary), the killing spree dlc will be real too. but even if not, just that i'll be able to go to sleep knowing that i don't have to worry about how to finance kc! expd and the dlc's beyond; and that i have such a lovely community behind me, ready to help, is so, so wonderful.
