Hope you're all doing well. A couple of weeks have passed since the last update, so it's time for a short progress report about 0.8. Things are shaping up nicely overall.
I've been hard at work fixing bugs and overhauling mechanics where needed. For example, I finally got fed up with the shop menu (a default RMMZ scene meant for generic RPG selling/buying) and decided to replace it with a new design. Using the store should now feel more intuitive, and the customization opens up some cool new mechanics tying into the story.
Despite the focus on bug squashing and mechanics, nearly half of the story content for this update has been written and implemented. Based on current progress, this release is on track to match or exceed the previous one in terms of renders and animations. I've also made two new maps that will be central to the story this time around.
Lastly, I received a few comments after the last update asking for a changelog or walkthrough. While I don't plan to create a walkthrough myself, the next release will include a changelog listing all the new content. It will include spoilers, so it’ll be provided as a .txt file for you to view at your discretion.
