Night Time Surprise

"Come to Blackwell... now! I need help!" was the last text Chloe got from Max, and there was no answer to the dozen other texts and phone calls she made afterward about that message.
The campus was calm, everyone was asleep... and then a voice boomed:
"Chloe..."
It was close... and far... all at once. Chloe looked around... no trace of Max, then...
"Up there..."
And she looked up, seeing her.
"Max... what the actual hell?"
