This day is going to be a one visual too! But I write a little intro to go with it 👀
“Modoriya... we need to get out, it'll be dark soon and even though I know we have the best equipment I don't want to be stuck in this cave at night.”
"Just a few more minutes! Look the signal indicate that this way should be much deeper..."
Shoto and Shinsuo exchanged a hesitant glance that Izuku didn't notice, still bent over the screen of his detector, looking for an indiscernible path in the rock.
“Izuku...” Shinsuo insisted, putting his hand on his friend's shoulder.
“No! No I won't stop, not this close!”
“We don't even know if we're in the right place,” agreed Shoto, observing the wet rock walls around them.
“The calculations are right!” asserted Izuku, raising his head from his device for the first time. "How can you doubt it?”
“It's not the calculations I'm questioning... I'm just saying that for an old explorer the story of the sunken Pirate King's treasure is surely very charming... And surely Toshinori wanted to end his career with a spectacular achievement by finding the legend but...”
"Docteur Toshinori is not delusional! And I'm shocked that you would dare question his words!" Izuku protested.
In a sudden movement, he slipped from the stone on which he was perched and landed on the arm that Shoto had hurriedly held out to him. They both fell on their backs, making a deafening noise that echoed throughout the cave.
“You can't be careful”
Shinsuo didn't have time to finish his sentence before the ground began to tremble. The three researchers barely had time to take one last look at each other before the stones crumbled beneath their feet. They fell several meters, unable to catch up with the wet walls of the abyss that was swallowing them up. Izuku slid against the stone for what seemed like an eternity. Suddenly, his legs collided violently with the soft ground and his whole body was cushioned by sand whiter than snow.
He was soon joined by his equipment and his two colleagues, who landed beside him. After making sure they were all right, Izuku grabbed his nearby detector, which had started buzzing uncontrollably.
"I knew this cave was deeper!
"Please Midoriya, we've probably just signed our death warrant. We're never going to get out of here, so at least look a little worried."
“I've still got a signal on my side, so we can call the rest of the team without any problem,” says Shoto, already typing the numbers into his transmitter.
"Guys....
“Oh great, we'll just have to wait here stuck for a few days before they find a safe way to come and get us.”
“Guys?!”
Shoto and Shinsuo turned their heads towards their friends, who were crouching on the sand, gazing in wonder at the vast expanse of crystal-clear water spread out before them.
“We... We found it!” He shouted with a face-eating grin that only he had the secret. “WE FOUND HIM!!!”
The treasure of the pirate king... and his captain intact.
