February (Hi-Res)

A collection of all the work done so far in February, from completed paintings down to sketches and WIPS. Meant to get this out to ya'll the other day, but lost track of time, so forgive the March 1st date!

Work done for Enigma530 (alchemy professor), Grockle/Docodile (lamppost lean), Guy9 (linework of demon design sans armor), Kryotic and DaveCallum (suited smooch), Renoko and Napther (space fats), Scorch (water skim sketch), and Tonystfns (waterfall shower WIP).

Not as much personal work as I'd like, as I'm still the main income, so a lot of my time has been on just trying to keep work pumping out. And with my sleep schedule in the tatters that it is, whoop, personal work fell to the wayside a bit. I'll try and fix that in March...!

Enjoy, ya'll. I hope this bulk upload finds you well. Going it this way has felt a little nicer, feels less like I'm at risk of spamming people, so I hope that this is okay...!

wow im the sleepiest binch. Overslept a bunch yesterday, meant to get it out during work hours, but oop. Hello!

I'm still chugging along, trying to keep work moving. February was rough. Bills are slowly chipping away at me, and we fell into some health insurance trouble (that is HOPEFULLY? being rectified but still feels GREAT to be lied to). Health in the household hasn't been the highest, physically or mentally, so that hasn't helped either. But I'm keeping my head above water, just taking things one day at a time, getting my hours in when I can -- it's sometimes all I CAN do, otherwise I'm at risk of spiraling, you know?

All of the work above has been done in Clip Studio Paint. I'm... mixed. I started out very optimistic with the program, but now that I've sat with it for a month and actually deeply painted with it, it feels... Iffy. I feel like I'm _still_ wrestling with its controls, with its settings, and the visual feedback between hand and what is on screen still doesn't feel the best, with no way to fix some of the issues I have. I also peeked into Photoshop again -- yes, I know, I groaned as well -- and while some of the improvements there seem great... Brushes still feel awful. So. I'm... actually wondering if maybe I should just go back to Corel Painter? :( I'd be really interested to hear, here or in private, if you see a difference in the work done in Clip versus previous work done in Painter, and if there is a preference. I feel like my colors and blending is a bit better in Corel, while my lighting is better in Clip. I wonder if there's a way for me to transfer some of this knowledge back to Painter...

Anyways! Streaming got paused again in the latter half of February. I meant to fix some stuff on the stream, especially now that I have a "VTuber" model of my kobold guy that a friend, Myriaderoc, graciously made me after he became such a fan of the kobold! But then anxiety over streaming took hold as soon as I took that break again, and I started hunting for excuses to not stream each Wednesday or Sunday that I could find. Bluh. I'll... try and fix that in March.

DoC and a big D&D piece might get added back into the workload shuffle next month as well. Sombreve is now full time on his project, so I may be doing more work for him soon. And a D&D campaign is nearing level 20 and its final act, and I've been asked to paint up our party like a D&D book cover, so... well i cant say no to that are you kidding me it's a D&D party piece ahhh

I apologize for not having any personal work to show here in February. With trying to keep up with everything, I've been feeling guilty even thinking of scribbles or doodles I could do, when the thought of "this is time that could be put into the queue" is so strong. Another thing I need to work on for March, perhaps. Or perhaps I could try fanart, which is sort of a middleground? I've been really taken by a character called Vyrn from Granblue Fantasy: Relink, and he would be a fun little dragon/not-lizard to draw and experiment with, I think. Maybe that can be my small goal for myself and art in March... That's not a bad idea, actually... Hmm...

Anyways!! I hope February has treated you all well. Weather's starting to get warmer here, hopefully you all are feeling the same, and things are looking good. Stay safe out there. Love you all. I will see you again soon. <3 Thank you so much for your continued support. Without you all, I don't know where I'd be. Your support has seriously helped with getting groceries or covering needs or fixes around the house, and I cannot express enough how much that means to us all. Love you all so much. Peace~
