"I don't care who started it." is probably the worst thing a parant or authority figue could say when children are fighting. It ingores the root cause and the children reasonably come to the conclusion that if this is how they treat the small isues, than there's no point in telling them about the big problems like abuse.
On the point of sibling relationships the example that comes to my mind is Mario and Luigi. The two are usually depicted as close to the point that they are shown living together (Luigi's Mansion being the only noteworthy outlier). And whenever somthing endangers one, the other will fight through hell and back to the rescue. And the only times they ever really fight is when a villain is mind controlling or possessing one of them.

My younger brother and I have always been super affectionate with each other, and when we were little, our dad would always get mad at us for snuggling or for playing with each other's hair because he thought it meant we were incestuous. We were 10 and 9, respectively. So, as an adult, I adore intimate sibling relationships in media, and I desperately wish that I had more stories with good sibling relationships as the backbone that I didn't have to write myself.
