Raffle Winners, Confuror and Some More

Hey everyone! Sorry for the late inactivity here, truth is life has been quite a lot more active. As you may know, Jaken attended this past weekend his first Con outside the anime world, and man did things got crazy! While I couldn't go (tickets ran out before I could grab one) I talked with Jaken about his experience...

The hotel wasn't the biggest ever, but it was packed full of furs from all over Mexico, Jaken says there were about 600 assistants at any given time, but odds are there were many more considering the hotel was full, no rooms, and each had between four or five furs staying...

This made the elevators unavailable, 'cause come to think of it, 2 elevators each for 5 persons top, to move all the furs around? Add to it the antics of some guys taking pics in their suits and you can imagine the situation.

I'm a bit shocked to know that Jaken hadn't heard about the lost papaya... yeah, it just randomly appeared it seems, who lost it? What were they doing with a whole papaya there? And why a papaya? The enigma shall remain until next year probably...

Oddities aside, our wolf got to see people he hadn't seen in years! About 11 or 12 years, with plenty of emotive hugs. He also happened to meet someone who had commissioned him a couple of years ago, salutes to Flamander @Furaffinity!

Despite going with plenty of nice products, such as stickers and buttons, our wolf didn't manage to make a lot of sales, partially due to being set next to a rather popular fur who caught most, if not all, the attention. A friend that went with him got lucky, selling vinyl stickers of the all-mighty OwO, which ended everywhere in the hotel.

He also got to meet other fellow artists like Tigerlion and GAB Shiba (Though, for all I know, he knew the later already... Or at least Cross.) and found them to be quite nice fellow... I won't deny it, I've met 'em before and they are good guys... dead busy and Tigerlion a bit of a mess with his sleep schedules but such is the life of an artist.

Jaken also gave a talk of the Furry fandom as an industry in growth, and let me tell you he was nervous well before having to stand there, I know 'cause he talked with me about it. All in all though, our wolf braved his fears and got a successful talk. Maybe later, we'll make a translation and upload it to YouTube... What'cha say? Would you want to hear it? On to the food... Our wolf found out that cons are expensive, and damn they are when a hamburger is about $4USD aka $70 Mexican pesos, and a taco around $1.5USD aka $25 pesos... We're used to hamburgers costing roughly a half, same with tacos...

Next year it's gonna be in the Hilton of Guadalajara... Man, they're gonna be full, and this time, we're going and staying there (We've started saving XD going to a con is quite expensive overall).

On to our raffle winners... And why we delayed until now... Well, first let me apologize 'cause this is in good measure my fault, I underestimated the workload on Jaken and back when we decided on the raffle we didn't take into account the possibility of his classes... As a result, Jaken has been a bit overwhelmed (And we're planning an Iron Artist for coming year... Poor li'l wolf might hate me a bit...) add to it the con and making all the products and talk... and yeah, you can imagine he's been quite busy.
