May's Idea-Looking For Aquatic TF Story Prompts

I already have some ideas for aquatic tf stories, but since there are a ton of species I've never done, it would be nice to see some more! Looking for 5-10k story ideas where the tf is to anything aquatic. can be feral, anthro, real, alien, or fictional species, so long as it's aquatic-based!

Climate change is melting the ice caps. the story is set on the antarctic research station. in the ice is a microbe. that microbe turns out is an ancient organism that had taken a symbiotic relationship with prehistoric ancestors of humans, whick led to another evolutionary path. modern humans are still very much a compatible host and as the microorganism settels in your body it shapes the hosts body, helping it evolve into its liking. like the ancient contract it made with our ancestors. it transforms humans into monsterouse aquatic creatures. I imagine something crab like. people dont loose their personality as they change, no "personality death" however they do get a set of new, very strong instincts and urges aswell as heavily modified senses and the new body makes it impossible to interact with teh world the same was as before
