How to open galleries

Well, everything is new here, also for me. And so it's not surprising that some things do not work yet as they are intended.

I noticed that if you enter the gallery with a password for a lower level than your actual patron level (because you used the password provided in the post of that lower level), you wouldn't be able to enter your password for the higher level until you completely closed all browser windows. This was not good :-)

Now there's a new link "Reset session (to enter other/new password)" on the gallery overview page. If you click that link you get directed to the password entry page and can then enter the password of your actual level.

Technical backgrounds - not important, just if you want to know :-) :

Here on patreon I can only publish single photos, no series. For this reason the series must be somewhere outside of patreon. Here I can only announce the new series and facilitate the access to this extern gallery. The galleries are on my own server in protected folders to which a php script allows access according to the password you enter.

As everybody of each level should have immediate access to all corresponding galleries without the need of receiving an e-mail or notification with a personal password, I publish a new password with every announcement of a series  here.

This password is valid for the level for which the series was published. It gives access to the latest and all former galleries of this and all levels below. It will expire after a while so that only actual patrons can access the galleries.

Now if you enter with a password, my php script checks the permission for it and remembers this level until you close the session, i.e. close all browser windows (or now click the new link mentioned above). This is necessary so that you don't have to enter the password every time you want to look at another gallery during the same session.

Downside is, that if you entered with a password for a lower level, you wouldn't see the galleries that are available for your actual level, and as the program already has received a password, you were not able to enter another one that corresponds to your level...

Easiest is, if you always use the most recent password for your actual level, i.e. the one published with the latest series announcement for your level. All series are tagged with "series", so that you can find them fast.

And if you entered with a lower level password, just click the reset-link.
