Afrodita in black-and-white (series)
Added 2017-04-06 10:11:16 +0000 UTCBlack-and-white is very often used in artistic nudes and in fact I love black-and-white images, maybe because I mostly worked in black-and-white when I still photographed on film.
I think, black-and-white reduces the image to pure shapes, there no distraction by the colors and the expression can be very strong.
I always (well, almost always) look at the images in color and in black-and-white, and edit the final version in the way of which I think that it has more impact.
As a general rule I ask myself: does color add something to the image? Which version transmits the desired expression better?
Now you have two series to compare. Obviously they are from the same part of this wonderful session with Afrodita, but there are some differences between the takes and you can decide yourself if I did the right choice.

Danke :-) Ja, schwarz-weiss-Fotos sind im Grunde schwieriger, weil es viel mehr auf den Inhalt, die Komposition und das Licht ankommt als bei Farbbildern. Von den weiteren Serien, die in dieser Nacht in Madrid entstanden sind, wird eine ganz sicher nur farbig sein, da sie starke, spannende Farben hat, und bei einer anderen bin ich mir noch nicht ganz sicher, wie ich sie will. Ich muss noch ein bisschen Zeit vergehen lassen, um die Bilder "neutraler" ansehen zu können...

2017-04-06 18:30:59 +0000 UTCDie Schwarz-weiß-Bilder funktionieren sehr gut. Es wirkt sehr künstlerisch, insofern hat sich die ganze Arbeit der Nachbearbeitung und die Fahrt gelohnt. Wirklich ein tolles Model und sehr viele differenzierte Posen. Sehr abwechslungsreich!
