Trafalgar beach nudes (series)

Today I followed another useless discussion on facebook about equipment  that a professional photographer should use. Nikon or Canon (the old war  between the believers). Zoom or fixed lenses. Full frame, SLR or  compact camera...

Whenever I see or hear discussions about such  topics I think: hell, some of the most important oeuvres of  photographers that changed the way we look at images have been made with  cameras that technically not even could perform what today even a cheap  mobile phone can.

Of course: colors can be better if you can  shoot in raw format, details can be sharper with a high priced quality  lens, there may be less grain with a larger and much-more-pixels chip.  Nice to have!

But is it really the technical quality that makes a good image?

I  think, if an image has an impact, if it has something to say, if it is  beautiful or meaningful, is no question of equipment. It depends on the  eye and the inspiration of the person who clicks.

The said  discussion was the reason why I went thru my mobile phone shots and here  I share my images that I took of Katt one day at Trafalgar. I think  they are beautiful. What do you think?

Eine wunderschöne „Meerjungfrau“. Ich liebe das Breitbildformat. Eine sehr gelungene Serie!
