from the Catalan woods (series of 99 images)

Recently I was in the woods with a young Catalan woman who calls herself "Arkytior".

She  is one of those facebook-models who are quite successful with  facebook-photographers, which is nice for her, but makes it a bit  complicated for me.

I'd say 99% of all photographers and  "photographers" on facebook do the same, at least I cannot distinguish  them from the results of their shootings. There is kind of a style that  guarantees lots of likes on facebook and they all use it. The same  happens with the models: sometimes I don't know which is which, because  they seem so very similar.

Consequence is that the models who  move in this ambient get used to those poses and looks. But I made my  new facebook account (after my original account was deleted by fb for  censored nudes y year ago) in the hope to find models, and when Arkytior  contacted my, I was happy enough.

She told me that she had a  full natural bush of pubic hair, but then, when she undressed in the  wood, there was - well, what you see. She said, she had to shave for  another session a week ago...

During the first shots I asked her  several times to please forget about these poses and typical faces and  just move naturally. I tried to make her feel different, let her run  around, tried to make her think about something else and to a certain  point it worked. But only to a certain point. After a few minutes she  always fell back in what she does in any session, and the game began  again.

This is a very common problem with "professional amateur  models". In contrary to real amateurs who just begin and are open and  curious, and in contrary to real professionals (that are outside of my  budget) who are used to work with very different photographers in very  different styles and have the ability to adapt to each photographers  taste and needs, those facebook-models are used to the always same  demands of the always same kind of photographers. They have incorporated  what expressions make those photographers happy and what poses will  give them the most likes on facebook. And these, of course, are the very  classic amateur poses you and I have seen millions of times, because  mass-taste is simple.

Then, in any session they switch into  "model mode" and the photographer clicks. They even have incorporated  facebooks nipple-panic and systemically fall into poses that hide their  nipples or other intimate parts. The don't do this on purpose, the  facebook-taste is simply engraved into their minds-

Don't get me wrong: Arkytior is a very nice young woman and she is willing to give her best.

I  have tried to lead her a bit out of the conventional and I think there  are some quite nice shots in this series. Judge yourself :-)
