Kathlyn Lacoste, one night in Paris
Added 2017-05-28 17:02:41 +0000 UTCI met this young woman a few days ago in Paris. I had a shabby hotel room (which does not mean that it was cheap) but it looked very different to what I had seen on booking.com...
So here we were and what could I do? Actually the bathroom was one of the places that looked interesting to me - and that had a little bit of light. Because the room was very small and the walls were full of posters I could not use flashes, not direct because of lack of distance, and not indirect because of lack of reflecting walls or ceiling.
Finally I shot with a very high ISO (6400) which gives these images the grainy impression. It looks just as if they would have been taken on film and then pushed when developing...
As you have seen in the posts before I really searched for angles to give the images a bit a special touch. And I must say, as frustrated as I was when first seeing the hotel room, as happy I am with the results.
Kathlyn is a US-american travelling model, mayby you know her from tumblr and she is a really very warm hearted, fun and nice person. It was great to work with her, and also to spend the time with her.
Later, after going out to buy a bottle of Whiskey, I took some more and different images, and then again in the morning. We then drove to another place with my car the next day, another hotel room, some photos in the car... but you will see these later, because right now I want to prepare a series for my "power"-patrons who are also waiting for news...
