Basel
Added 2017-07-02 15:06:54 +0000 UTCThe next day I reached Basel. I took the cheapest hotel I could find. It was ok and directly at the "Mustermesse" (Basel's fair grounds) where the star architects Herzog-De Meuron carried out their diabolic contribution for making Basel more ugly.
Must say, that Basel is a very beautiful town where untouched by megalomaniac star architects. It has a wonderful old town and the waterside at the river Rhein are a pure delight - they have bettered extremely in the past years and is now a very lovely and lively recreation area right in the center of the city.
I stayed in Basel for 10 days and felt very much like a tourist in the little town that for so many years has been my home.
