figure studies, part 1 (series)

It was the first session with this young woman who decided to use the  artistic name "Syrinx", a name she found in a book of classic Greek  poems that fascinate her.

She is a modern ballet dancer, but when  she approached me, because she'd love to have some natural nudes of her  "before it's too late" :-), I did not want to take photos of those  classic ballet poses. I would do so, if I had the adequate surroundings  (like a black stage with powerful theatrical light that allows me enough  of distance and fast shutter speeds), but I have seen so many images of  using those ballet poses in a flat, an abandoned factory or somewhere  in nature that I really did not feel like doing it also.

In  addition, with the world-unique tardiness and unreliability of Spanish  people in general, you never know if a model really appears to a first  session. I experienced so many times that I prepared a session, have  inspired myself with the test-photos I took before, thought about  location, settings, ambiance, light and topic - and then the model  simply did not appear or came hours later, when the good natural light  was already gone. I can't take outdoor photos at noon on a sunny day, or  in nature late in the evening without being prepared with flashes and  things...

For those reasons since some years I do first sessions  with a new model always here at home. If the model appears, ok, then we  see what we can do, if she doesn't I simply continue with my stuff and  forget about her. That happens with 9 of 10 girls here, and this is not  exaggerated...   

As you can see Syrinx is one of the young women  who appeared :-) I was a bit disappointed that she cut her pubic hair  that was much fuller when I took the test photos - as you maybe note in  some of the pictures, she could be really very hairy (and she's growing  it now, she says, for a much hotter session yet to come - maybe...). An  then, although we already talked about the openness and the erotic  expression I want in my images, she was shyer than she thought herself.
That, as you will see in further images yet to be edited, changed completely, but much later :-)

So,  I said, let's just play around a bit right here in the living room. Show  me your body, show me, what's beautiful in you. And so, slowly, she  opened up, lost her shyness and in the end began to really enjoy to show  herself to my camera.

It took a while and I took a lot of photos  of which some are really beautiful. But then, when editing the images, I  did an error: instead of grouping the images into smaller series to  edit separately, I just began with image number one and edited and  edited one after the other, in the hope to soon publish all of them  together.

But as you know, sometimes things take longer than  thought. Things come in between. And so: the full series is still not  completely edited and so I upload here what is finished now. The rest  will appear here one day, but first I want to edit other photos.

Syrinx  isn't the typical young sexy beauty, but she has something about her.  Before I do another session with her I would love to have some feedback  of you: do you want to see more of her? More erotic or more classic? Is  there something on her that makes you wish to see photos to a special  topic?

I, of course, have some ideas. It depends if she really lets growing all the hairs she could let grow :-)
