stairway to heaven (series)

In the background of the title image you see a stair, and this stair leads to a very geometric stairway and it inspired me to take some shots of the marvellous young model that was with me on a short journey. The stairway didn't actually lead to heaven, but to the sleeping room, which isn't bad at all, too, isn't it?

We stayed in a small town in the middle of nowhere in Spain, a town with literally nothing. No restaurant, no supermarket, no shop, nothing. The next "restaurant" was at a gas station on the highway, approx. 20 minutes away. We drove there in the hope to find something to eat - but the bar made such a sad impression that we thought, we'd drive in the other direction - half an hour - where there was another gas station with two "restaurants". Both of them terribly uninviting, letting you fear that at least you will have problems with the digestion.

So we drove to the next small town that actually wasn't that small - but again the two restaurants that were open didn't give us the impression that we wanted to eat there... So we went to the only open shop and bought a bottle of wine, some bread and cheese and she bought some pasta in a box to which one can add hot water and eat it.

Well, we survived. But as you can see the beautiful dishes remained unused. Still, some beautiful photos were taken, and this is, I guess, what interests you :-)
