Here's some fun for you...
Right when the "digital age" was about to be born I did my first steps in photoshop. I had photoshop 3.0 and a small Eizo screen and I wanted to play around, learning how to make photomontages...
My idea was to create a sexy couple of twin sisters and so I took some photos of a young girl that I would later combine into montages and change slightly the face (I enlarged the eyes and the mouth). She also used a wig, so what you see here is really all fake :-)
Form the slides I let produce a Kodak Photo CD - I just found it while unpacking my "3 millions" of boxes in my new flat in Málaga. It is an image format that doesn't exist anymore, but I found a program that can at least read the files. It produces images with very low contrast and ugly colors, so I tried to pimp them up a little bit so they come near to the originals of that time: fake again...
In the gallery you'll always see the two original photos and then the combination, plus (at the end) some more originals that I haven't used for montages.
Today you probably see on the first sight that these are montages and not real twins. But I can assure you, that in the 90's nobody detected the falseness...
Have fun with this little peace of "Daniel Bauer history"!
