One of the beautiful things in digital photography is, that the raw image file contains all data, no matter what your camera settings are.
When I plan to take black and white photos I switch the camera monitor to black-and-white. Actually I switch to "black-and-white-mode" (while still setting speed and aperture manually, of course).
But those settings affect only the Jpeg version or preview that is produced by the camera. The raw-file can later be used in any way, just as with any other camera settings.
So, when editing the preview selection of those contrast images, sometimes I changed to color mode to see how it looks, and in some images I thought they look even better in color.
