finding the light

Of course, in summer during day time the sun is very bright outside and if I wouldn't place a flash on her, the lovely body of this 19years young girl would be much too dark - not to speak of all the wonderful details that could not be seen if I just used the natural light.
On the other hand, mixing day light with flash light is always quite a challenge. First of all the colors of the flashlight must fit the colors of the sunlight or the naked body would appear very yellowish or reddish, or the background outside would show very blueish.
The second challenge is to have the right strength of the flash. If it's too strong it looks very unnatural (first image in the series), if it's too weak the shapes of the model's body don't show beautiful and skin color is grayish. Shadows should be strong enough to emphasize her charms, but may not be that strong that details which I (and you) maybe also would like to see in the photos fall into darkness.
So, while Danielle is naked and waits until the marks of her underwear disappear I prepare the light and after an change I ask her to come for a moment. I take a click without even looking through the view finder, I don't ask for any pose - I am not shooting a photo, I just want to check the effect of my light setting.
