The enlightened floor (preview)

I searched the word and found that "enlightened" sounds nicer than "illuminated" but the truth is that the bathroom of this hotel in Basel had a lighted floor and this on one hand was very beautiful and special to take photos, on the other hand made it incredibly complicated to adjust the colors.

Of course the light was from neon tubes - approximately the worst light you can imagine for photography. It is quite easy to filter the light of light bulbs which are just too red, or a snowy landscape that is too blue, but the problem with neon light is that its not just a part of the spectrum (like bulbs) but several parts and other parts that miss, so you have like a cluttered and fragmented light spectrum. An the green of the walls was also not really helpful, as it reflects and it makes skin loo really ugly, you get the impression of sickness...

For my luck there were the white sinks so I had at least some reference for the white balance and, again for my luck, in this surrounding it wasn't necessary that the skin looked completely natural and I could make her a bit browner than she actually was.

"She" was a young Swiss girl, 22 in that moment, an aspiring actress and already enrolled in an actors school in Los Angeles. When I finished editing the photos she was already in the US. I don't know, if she made it, if she found jobs, if she still lives in USA and what happened in her life.

I found her very sexy when I met her and in the first moments I didn't even notice that she had done her bosom. She told me that her parents weren't happy when she decided to buy new boobs, but when they realized that she would do it no matter what the parents think, they arranged for the best surgeon and I must say: he did a perfect work. There were no visible scars, they weren't too big, had a beautiful shape and were close together like natural breasts, not one on each side as one often sees it, with a flat desert valley between them. They were soft and felt quite natural, on had to search to feel the implants (yes, she proudly asked me to touch them and feel their "natural feeling"...).

It was the only photo session I had with this model (as she went away) but we had a very long, large session that day, with very different topics, many nudes and some of them even quite explicit. If my patrons like, I'll upload more of her another day...
