The red delight (preview)

Or the delight in red?

It was a cold and rainy day in Paris (it's always a rainy day in Paris :-) ) and Yana an I used the time for a lingerie session with the new red set I bought her a few days ago.

We thought (or I thought?) that Yana is an erotic enchantment per se with no need to use any suggestive poses or expressions to make the images sexually pleasing. Well, despite of that, as my patrons, and especially those of Special-level, know from many other series, of course I could never resist to sometimes go very explicitly for her wild charms. But not this time.

This time I wanted to portray her striking beauty in warm colors and with a quite cool, or serious, expression. I used the available light coming in from just one window from one side. Because it was a rainy day the daylight was very soft, no hard shadows - ideal to caress Yana's tender body of a young girl.

Of course a photo session with a sensual topic also is always kind of a game between the photographer and the model. You talk about the desired goal, the expressions you want to achieve, you try to lead the model in a situation where she feels what will produce those expressions... but of course we stay the persons we are and so in between of the "serious" photographs there always - especially with such kittenish, cunning and coquettish minx like Yana - are those playful moments of happy nonsense or not being able to further suppress the laughing: the moments that usually are not seen in the finished production.

In the series I uploaded today I left those lovely "in-between-images" to give a complete impression of how such a session takes place and what happens between the photographer and the model when they know each other so very well as Yana and I did in that moment.

I left the images completely as they were taken: uncropped and absolutely unretouched. I only adjusted the white-balance to correct the blueish/greenish reflections from the painted walls and softened a little bit the contrast so that the darker parts are not too dark.

I love those images. They also show that taking good artistic images is not only due to the skills of the photographer but depends to a very large part on the model. Yana, with her untamable sensual and erotic personality, was a great luck for me. She not only was up to the most intimate details the incorporation of what for my personal taste was a beautiful and desirable girl, but she was also very interested in photography, in supporting my aim for artistic, sensual and erotic images, in the results of a session.

She was a real muse for me.
