Everybody who knows me, knows that I Iove young, slim and very girlish girls, especially when they oscillate on that seductive line between "innocent baby" and "femme fatal", but that most of my models comply with my personal preferences isn't only because I chose them, but also, because it's the kind of woman who applies to model for me...
During my journey to Colombia my model selection process was very different, of course. Or better said: there was no selection process. I knew a girl and she said: I have a friend who would like to model, too, and I said ok, not knowing who will appear to the session. Often I didn't even have time to get to know a model before the actual session and I just asked her to undress and started photographing her.
Lucía, in fact, I knew some days before the shooting. She came with another, very lovely model (you will see her later) to have a coffee and she turned out to be a very lovely, very open-minded and interesting person, all a pleasure to talk with her. As her friend she is a studied biologist, interested in plants, but also with an obvious love for (poisonous) spiders and snakes.
So, despite the fact that she didn't comply with my stereotypes of a sexy young girl I agreed that she will accompany the other girl to the session and that I will photograph her, too. They proposed a nature-sanctuary as the location and Priscilla's mother had the kindness to drive us to the entry of the park.
On the beginning of the path there were panels with photos of the animals (spieders, snakes...) that live in that area and some warnings, but after approx. half an hour of walking, when we reached the place the two women had thought for the shooting, they undressed careless and went barefoot through the plants without any fear to be bitten by one of those in my personal view not very nice nor very attractive beasts. As one can see in the series they even laid down nakedly, undaunted...
So today I upload a series for my patrons of "Power"-level and up of an other kind of beauty that is different to what you usually see in my gallery. I liked the openness, naturalness and the courage of Lucía to show herself without any restrictions or shyness, and I must say that I am grateful to her that she gave me the opportunity to photograph somebody different to what I am so very used to.
I hope you like the photos, too!
