Baby smokes (preview)

Many people, perhaps most of us, want to represent something they are not in reality: better, more beautiful, more interesting?... and this desire is even stronger among very young people - or in my environment, the girls.

They are young, from my point of view almost kids, little experienced, still "not quite ready", hungry to be grown up and not to be seen as a sweet child anymore, but as a serious person on the same level. Of course, they are proud and rightly enjoy their youthfulness, their ungovernable energy, their fresh beauty, their curious openness and adventurousness.

But at the same time, they want to show themselves as more adult than they really are. From my point of view, the effort to appear as an adult, experienced young woman who has already been through all the paces, and no longer as the lovely, curious little girl, is simply sweet. But "cute" is exactly what they don't want to be anymore (and not yet again!) at that age.

In my photo sessions, I try to guide my models so that they more or less forget that they are acting as a model and to achieve that they act and move as naturally as possible. I look for the moments when the "real person" comes out. But of course a model remains aware that she is being photographed and tries to control her effect as a woman on the man who photographs her (or who later looks at her in the photographs).

All the more I am happy about the two large series with Janna, which I uploaded today for my patrons from power level. In most of the beautiful nudes (and many of the red hot pictures of the Special series) Janna shows herself completely natural, without any posing, thoughtful, self absorbed, excited and playful - just as she really is and as only a man who enjoys her trust can see her. And my patrons!

My mother often said: first the work, then the pleasure! And this attitude has become ingrained in me. When I plan to photograph someone (even with women I know very personally and intimately), the photo session comes first and only then the relaxation, the casual conversation, maybe a drink.

Except this time. This time it was the other way around: first the pleasure and then, because Janna was so sweet and pretty and irresistible in her relaxation, smoking, with no intention of being seductive, I carefully - so as not to ruin the mood - set up two flashes and "incidentally" started photographing her.

I don't know how much you notice it, but I see Janna in this session quite differently than in the previous sessions. Although all woman, very woman!, the innocence and kind of childishness still present despite of all her wildness, shows in her dreamy expression.

I have great pleasure in many of the 180 photos of today's series - and I hope they awaken similar feelings in you as in me!
