I was wondering if anyone brought up the borrowers. I had watched the movie before Arietty came out, so I had already been familiar with the story elements. I can believe that the BBC version is better though.

I'm just saying I think you could do a regular review of this, just focus on the non anime parts. Though I do enjoy your puppets' riffing. If you keep going with the borrowers seek out the BBC miniseries of it. It's really charming (like brits are) and well good. WAY better than the American john goodman version

2022-01-19 17:14:44 +0000 UTCI recommended this film to Bobsheaux shortly after he did Spirited Away. Felt it was an especially accessible anime film. Guess it didn't work out that way. Ooh, this is the British dub, starring a mini Tom Holland, haven't seen that before. Nice!
