No one will doubt that I photograph sexy girls mainly because it gives me pleasure to follow the shapes of their beautiful young bodies, to witness how it (sometimes, often...) excites them to show themselves to me completely shamelessly, and to capture their sparkling sensuality in pictures. After all, the master Helmut Newton once said something like that a photographer who claims not to be a voyeur is a liar. I do not deny that :-)
Then of course when I'm shooting I often think about you, the people who will see the photos later and what they expect from me and my models. I therefore sometimes make more explicit images than I would if it were purely about the artistic work. Although, as an artist, I am still looking for the "definitive explicit image" that, apart from its erotic content, could be called a real work of art. And of course the situations in which these images are created also give me much pleasure and the wishes of my patrons serve me as a very welcome excuse to induce just these situations :-)
Sometimes, however, I have "purely artistic" ideas. It's not easy, because I hate the nudes you see so often, where the model takes in complicated, unnatural poses, just to hide what's crucial, or the angle is chosen so that you can't see anything, because "art may not be arousing". (Not that I think that every picture must show everything, but the pictures as you see them in millions on Instagram, that with hypocritical, pseudo-artistic expressions and filters appeal to the sexual instincts and where "nudity without nudity", "sex without sex" "lust without lust".... in celebrated, excite in me nothing but nausea).
This time my idea was to cover the model with a sheath that hides her skin, but that hugs the body, the shapes, the hairs and details so that everything really is visible without much being visible.
I tried it with a wet white cloth, but the cloth was too thick, it didn't become transparent as intended when I wet it, and the few photos I took were so completely uninteresting that I didn't even edit them.
After the cloth thing failed completely, I tried the red tissue paper you see in the photos in this series.
Even with that, I didn't really achieve what I wanted. The paper fell apart and tore practically the moment I wet it. I couldn't really press it against the model's body. If I wanted to press it tightly against the pussy, so that it depicted the shape of the mound and the lips and the hairs shone through, it tore at the thighs or just exactly where I pressed. With the slightest movement of the model, the paper tore and the skin came out.
Eventually I'll find a material that gets me closer to what I had in mind.
Nevertheless, the mood in the pictures is special and so today I show you a small series of an attempt that did not bring the intended result but I hope you like this "back-stage insight" into my work and my trials!
