Of course, not every map but you know every so often

super interessting idea! I like the evolving structure theme, which fits into an different project im planning out right now, will keep that in mind. thx! This might be worth a try for a dedicated map, but a little to work intense for every upcoming map.

thinking about doing older version again, just the current setup is not optimized for older worlds, need to prepare alot of biomes, layers and areas for that. But its possible. Will do a few polls and research on which version are viable in the longterm.

awesome ideas, had similar ones in mind too. *noted yours down* Structure wise i want to be a little cacious tho, from our server experience i can say, that sometimes people can mistake player-builds and world structures and lead to unnessecary conflict. So currently i believe any future structures will be "ruins/weathered" versions. But i am fully onboard with the more structures topic! Partnering with other creators/builders i find a little scary, as i find this can easily backfire for various reasons (usage-conflicts, monitary-disagreements, IP-rights), hence why i want to lean more on the open community feedback and my own creations with its flair. :) But im not outruling this for youtube video topics. Just for world creations that go out to the public.

Personally I would love to see some more structures, at least on the larger maps. Whether that's abandoned houses to renovate + inhabit, dungeons, roadside taverns, etc. Maybe there would even be builders who would like to partner with you on it, putting their buildings in your world for reciprocal Patreon downloads or something? Thinking of builders like Graysun or similar.

(I know I keep harkening on the same topic but...) You could even add a soft-time system with that. Where there are structures of any kind in the oldest version of the map, then when it gets updated to a new one- those same structures are more dilapidated or more expansive depending on the structures. As well as adding new structures in the new versions. Basically, as the map changes versions: old structures become more broken down; upkept structures are more advanced as if people had built upon it more; new structures are erected; and maybe like a Halo 2 kinda thing where new structures are build around old ones to protect/immortalize them so to speak. Then you could take this concept of Soft-Time(™?) and apply it to terrain as well

Another idea I (previously on my last point) have is making different versions of the same map. For example, start with any map in 18.2 (new or old), then port it to 19.2 but adding any new biomes and features it adds, then port that to 20.x and do the same thing again. So pretty much just updating old maps into the new

I don't know if other people share the same sentiment but because of the current mods I use limits me to 1.18.2. I know it's been a while but perhaps it's possible to make some older version maps again every once in a while
