Reposters easily have the choice to retweet or share the link to existing posts, but instead they want the views for themselves. And if alts are shared elsewhere, it means people have less reason to support the artist. Yes, it can be a way to find artists, but it's the absolute worst way of doing so and there's ALWAYS those preferred options of sharing the original links.
