Modding Diary - Quick Update

Hi Guys!

Im doing just a quick update this week today. As you can see I dont have very many screenshots this week, that is because I am currently working on multiple features at once and none of them are finished all the way so I have decided to not take any screenshots to avoid causing any confusion.🥲

This week I started making the gender reveal social event, I still need to switch out the party screenshot

and it works like a normal social event, with the main goal being the gender reveal either through cutting a cake or popping the balloon. I still need to fine tune the event activities as right now most of the activities are borrowed from the birthday party event.

I am also working on a way to fix the cut cake together interaction. Some of you may recall me saying I was getting route fail when I tested with just the base game + get to work, and that was because I made my interaction based on the "Cut Cake With.." interaction from my wedding story. So after experimenting I decided to give the cake its own stand. This means the cake will come attached to a stand and you will not be able to put it on a dining table. But your sim will be able to cut the cake, eat it, and put it in the fridge as usual.

After Im finished with these two things I still need to make some gender reveal moodlets and make more gender reveal party decorations. I know I wont have time to make the decorations from scratch anymore so I will likely purchase some 3D models online as a way to save some time.

The plan is still to release this update 1-2 weeks from now. I will give you a better update next Friday to let you know how everything is coming alone (hopefully with a lot more screenshots!)
