READ MY INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE

This update has alot of content so Im only going to cover the most important parts 😥

1. In this update your sim might get pregnancy complications (PPROM or placental abruption) that might cause premature births.

PPROM can be detected through ultrasound during the first trimester

2. you can get a Corticosteroids shot to treat it which might prevent premature births

3. If your sim is having multiple babies they will now have the option to have their babies induced in the third trimester, the doctor will tell your sim about early induction during ultrasound

4. And if you do decide to get induced you could call the OB in the third trimester to get the procedure, early induction works the same as regular c-sections

5.PPROM and Placental abruptions are rare, but if they do results in premature labor you will see a notification like this in the second or third trimester. you can always opt out of it by closing the window, there is no penalty for not going to the hospital for premature labor. If you leave the hospital at any point it will send your baby home, so you must play the entire postpartum hospital stay in one setting.

6. If your sim is having one baby: make sure NOTHING is overlapping the surgery machine's footprint (the green squares) and give birth as usual after getting an epidural.

7. If your sim is pregnant with multiples: when you get to the hospital it is recommended that you placed down a couple of incubators in case if your sim is pregnant with multiples. if you place down only incubators in the hospital, all babies your sim give birth to (when pregnant with multiples) will be born in incubators; if you place down both incubators and bassinets, then the extra babies will randomly spawn in either the incubator or the regular bassinet.

8.premature birth works similar to regular c-sections but the babies wont be placed on your sims chest after they are born. If the incubator is glowing red it means the baby is too weak for any type of physical contact; if it is glowing yellow it means the baby is getting stronger but should be handled with care, overestimation will cause their conditions to worsen and make them become too weak again. If it doesnt glow it means the baby is physically strong enough for regular physical contact. You can always click on the incubator and select "Ask Baby's Condition" to have the doctor explain how the baby is doing.

9.A dinning chair is required for sims to use in my custom NICU interactions. the chair should snap to the incubator automatically. If it doesnt snap it means the chair is not a dining chair, so try a different chair. You can "Hold baby" "Sing to Baby" "Tube Feed Milk" "Bond with Baby" "ask to say Hi" and "read to baby"

10. You can tube feed your baby with the NutraNeo Special Formula which can be found in build and buy

11.babies who are in the incubator may have Jaundice, Anemia or Pneumothorax (collapsed lung), all conditions will go away on its own eventually (within 1-2 sim days), but they can also be treated. Jaundice can be treated with a couple sessions of bili lights; Pneumothorax can be treated with a couple sessions of the oxygen hood

12. Anemia can be treated by adding iron to the milk, again it takes a couple of feedings. you can find the iron supplement in build and buy

13. Friends and families will call and ask to visit your sim at the hospital within 24 hours after your sim gives birth. You can pick who you want to come to the hospital

14. There are four social interactions you can perform with your visitors under friendly-small talk.

"Receive Congratulations" and "Discuss Baby Care" might give your sim a moodlet and "Receive Greeting Card" will allow other sims to give your sim a greeting card

15.You may leave the hospital anytime by using the 'Get Discharged From Hospital" interaction, or use the "Go Home [Icon]" interaction, or press M. whatever you do just don't press the house icon on the bottom left of the screen because it will trigger a LE due to an existing bug in the game.

Useful cheats:

during the first trimester you can give your sim PPROM or placental rupture in childbirth settings-pregnancy complications, however doing so doesn't not guarantee your sim will go into premature birth

You can trigger premature birth by going to the same menu when your sim is in second -third trimester. Doing so will send your sim into premature birth immediately

You can trigger family visits in childbirth settings after your sim gives birth at the hospital You can give and remove health conditions to your baby in the incubator by shift clicking on them

FAQ:

🐼1. Cant find childbirth settings:

Make sure you are pressing down the shift key on your keyboard when clicking on your sim, if you still don't see it, it could mean you never enabled the cheat menu in game. To Enable the cheat menu you need to press down Ctrl+Shift+C on your keyboard, which will open a white input bar at the top left corner of your screen, type in testingcheats true and press enter, and try shift clicking on your sim again. If you still don't see it it means the mod is not installed correctly, follow this tutorial to fix your installation.

🐼2. Baby was sent home after premature birth

When giving birth you need to make sure NOTHING is overlapping the surgery machines/bed footprint so that the surgery machine/bed as enough room to spawn the baby and the incubator. DO NOT put down your own incubator in the slot next to the surgery machine/bed

🐼6. I can't find the call obstetrician option on my sims phone

make sure your sim is in the second trimester and look under the home category, if you dont see it still follow this tutorial to fix your mod installation https://www.pandasama.com/tutorials/how-to-install-mods-or-cc/. Imma loose my mind if one more person puts the files on their desktop and tell me it doesnt work 🫥

09-10-2024 Update (1.64)

Fixed an issue that caused the incubators to have visual glitches on low graphic settings, this might be what is causing the game to lag for some players post birth. Please let me know if you still have issues with lagging after this update
Sims with no parents will now be able to receive hospital visit phone calls
Fixed an issue that caused the "Add Iron" and"Tube Feed" interaction to not show up for player who are missing certain expansion packs.
