Modding Diary - I Made Sims Pee In A Cup

This week I worked on adding more interactions to the game for your sim to perform during their clinical rotations in their fourth year of the nursing school.
First of all I made this "take blood pressure" interaction
Your sim will talk to the patient
then put on the pressure cuff on their arm
and squeeze the air bulb a few times and wait for the readings
they will then talk to the patient again indicating the procedure is finished
and take the cuff off
and take notes in their note pad
you will also be able to order urine test
the patient will walk to the toilet
they will perform the peeing interaction. I dont think I will be making a custom animation at this time because it feels like I am running short on time again for this update 🥲
a cup of urine sample will appear on the floor after they are finished
You will see who the sample is from
and then you will be able to send it to the lab for analysis (to-do for next week).
believe it or not the urine sample interaction took me two whole days 😭 at first the patient sim wont go to the toilet no matter what (endless route fail), then I couldn't get the patient name to display correctly 😓but everything worked in the end.
Next week I will finalize the urine sample interaction, right now everyone pee standing up (lol) and the sample is spawned as soon as they get to the toilet when they should spawn at the end. I will then add these interactions to your sims daily to-do list (the list thingy at the top left corner) . I will then make some moodlets and maybe add a few more interactions. preferably some that involves pregnant sims. 🤔

2024-11-22 03:36:44 +0000 UTCLooks great! Eventually will pregnant sims be able to have these interactions performed on them as part of a prenatal/ob check-up as well? That's one thing that always killed me about Get To Work, NPC sims apparently go to the doctor when they are sick and there are all these interactions for the played doc to run for diagnoses, but when your sim gets sick they just take magic medicine 🤪. It would be odd to be a midwife, perform BP checks and urine samples, but then get pregnant and have none of that done.

I thought that since we can stay in the hospital after giving birth, we could add interactions: - Check the C-section wound, - Help with feeding, - Examine your sim after giving birth, - Give a drip of vitamins etc. You can use existing animations from checking dilation or oxytocin drip :)
