Modding Diary - Adding Daily Tasks

Hi guys! Hope you all are well! 🥰

This week I worked on adding more daily tasks to your sims active clinical days. Your sim will now be asked to socialize with other medical staff and familiarize themselves with the team.

You will also be asked to do paper works such as filling out patient data

They will have 50% chance of getting one of five moodlets

Once in a while a pregnant sim will come in for their prenatal appointment

getting a pregnant sim to show up properly took me forever and a half. 😭

If you have played with the doctors career you will know that sometimes you encounters situations like fainting patient, and pregnant sims going into labor. Those are in fact considered as "emergency situations" in the doctors career. 🤓that's all fine and I was able to make my own version, but I struggled for the longest time because the pregnant sim would show up but they would sometimes be un-clickable. Now I know sims can become unclickable when they are in a situation they aren't supposed to be in, but it made no sense in my case because they seemed to become unclickable when I make them wait in line at the front desk🤨I think it took me like two days trying to figure out why, and eventually I discovered it had nothing to do with the fact I was making them wait in line, instead it just happens randomly when they fail to transition from the "just arrived at the hospital" state to the "waiting to be treated" state. It seems to be a game bug and I even found this reddit post from someone who had the exact same issue. Well after some debugging I was able to fix it, but it's never a fun time to spend so much time debugging what I think is an issue with my file just for it to turn out to be an issue from the game 😑

Anyways, after a pregnant sim arrives at the hospital you will be able to perform ultrasound on them ( I know ultrasounds are by a certified technician in real life and probably isn't done by any nursing student, Im just adding this so that you'll have more things to do during your days at the hospital).

and you will get one of 10 moodlets, some are embarrassing and some are good

I want to work on adding more tasks next week, perhaps more social interactions that allows your sim to learn from the doctors and nurses, and more paper works. I feel like the nursing school part of the update is coming to an end soon, and it will probably be done early-mid December.
