Noded up one last time

NOTE FOR NEW JANUARY SUBSCRIBERS

I noticed an influx of subscriptions this month, not sure why patreon allows you to subscribe when the pledges are closed but either way the game probably won't get an update this month so pledges will stay closed

Im not sure if this works this way but i think if you stay subscribed you won't get charged again as long as the pledges stay closed so consider staying subscribed untill an update releases and then unsubscribe

So i also turned the AI system into nodes, in this case the benchmark was to recreate the wolf AI in nodes

Here is the AI of the shade enemy, not much goes into a shade brain so its one of the few graphs that actually fits within a picture and can be reasonably read

 (AI works by feeding inputs to characters as if they were a player controlled character)

For now this will be the last node system

Which means its now time to work on actual game content again!

I got a spreadsheet of the target content i want for the 1st build of the game

(not meant to be read or a teaser)

Blue cells are content/features i think the game needs, for it to be 1st build worthy

Note that not all cells are created equal some will be trivial and more for tracking purposes and others would require more time and would be naive to try and predict what would be required to acomplish them from the outset

ie an enemy requires on very rough terms

State code, Graphics, AI

Which would turn into 4 cells (one would be just for the enemy name)

Also at the moment ive only had a small sample of how long some of the cells would take to implement, ie there is only one enemy type so i can't really give a good time estimate of how long everything would take

I will make a post soonish with an updated sheet, note that whenever i make that post there will be more cells in there for tracking purposes

I think a bunch of core game systems also need a bit of polish and im not too happy with the wolf fight at the moment so if it gets cut in the build that is why
