Week progress

A bunch of people have subscribed so im reposting this note from a previous post in january

I noticed an influx of subscriptions this month, not sure why patreon allows you to subscribe when the pledges are closed but either way the game probably won't get an update this month so pledges will stay closed

Im not sure if this works this way but i think if you stay subscribed you won't get charged again as long as the pledges stay closed so consider staying subscribed untill an update releases and then unsubscribe

Less than anticipated was done part of polishing up the character controller was proving a bit dificult with the collision system that was set up, so i just said screw it and rewrote most of it, as it stands the character is in a good enough for V1 state at the moment

I got the level layout for level 1 more or less finalized i had to improve the tile placing system a bit to support placing dust along the walls and slopes

Those gray blobs do 4 raycast and uppon hitting a surface they place the dust object and rotate it acordingly

Surface cleaning and the basis of ranking are in, my intention is to have all 5 levels in 1 unity scene so playing through a world has no/extremely short loading times, even when dealing with a mostly empty scene unity takes a bit (like 1 sec~) to load it so the way restarting works is just by reseting the dust state and sending you back to the starting position rather than reloading the scene (a scene is the way unity calls "levels/maps")

At the moment it is working but i'll have to see if it works well once all 5 levels are in the same scene, if i see it isn't working ill look into loading the other levels asyncronously

On the video bellow you can see the level restart speed and an "optimal" run through the level
