Restructuring the Patreon
Added 2023-08-06 05:58:52 +0000 UTCAs I mentioned before, I'll be somewhat restructuring the Patreon in the coming month.
Starting September 1st, I'll be removing the $2 tier, turning the $3 into a simple tip jar that doesn't provide benefits, and $6 tier will be getting all the uploads: hires, lowres, sketches, wips, and so on, but with the exception of the hires versions, none of the files will be made exclusive to Patreon.
I never liked the idea of a posting delay or Patreon exclusives, but I thought that was the only way to run it. It's really not, and being able to post finished art and sketches without delay or without paywalling them is likely to help me grow more than the current setup.
It'll also reduce the amount of doubleposting $6 tier has been seeing, since lowres and hires were in two separate posts. Now they'll just be in a single one.
There is still benefit to being subscribed to $6 - only place to get the hires, but also the lowres and other images uploaded here aren't subject to the same compression algorithm many other gallery sites are.
Billing is still paused at this time, I just now paused it for the month of September, so current patrons have two months to decide whether you'd like to stick around before billing resumes presumably on October 1st.
