February update:

Hi everyone, i'm sorry to have to post this. Im really sorry that i haven't been able to release any assets this month.

The month was going very well, i had the 'Kings' and 'Queens' assets pretty much done and was well happy. but the last couple of days i have been exporting all the sprite sheets and i started to notice little mistakes. Heads were misaligned and some colours were not consistent. Although they are only small mistakes, when working with pixel art they are kinda HUGE mistakes and its throughout every spritesheet for every character. I accept there may be minor mistakes here and there when creating but there are just far to many to allow them to be released in the condition they re in, there just not acceptable. I would sooner delay a release, then release rubbish they cant be used.

I thought i might be able to work through it and get something released by the end of the week, but yeah, it's an impossible expectation, there is just to many of them, where i have to go through every single frame and check that its correct. Just to give you an idea of the workload. 30 character sprite sheets with upto 14 animations, 4 frames per animation and in three different directions.N,S,E,W. It's alot.

Now, i know i can correct these issues no problem and i will continue to work through it and have them released next month. I should hopefully be able to catch up as well and maybe have the next release as well, so perhaps there could be a double release next month. (fingers crossed) But i will see how i go.

I'm sorry to disappoint any of you, and trust me i'm gutted too, but its just one of those things that can happen and for that i apoligise and hope you understand and continue to support and not lose faith.

Seems as that's bad news lets try and finish on a good positive note.

For quite some time i have been drafting smaller characters. Ones that would seem more 'traditional' asset characters. And what i mean by that is whats more considered as a 'standard' size i suppose. 16x16. currently the RPG assets are more of a custom style, 24x32, so not really a 'standard' size. If you search around on most gameasset sites the common theme tends to be 16x16, as it is mostly with retro consoles like GB. NES and SMS for RPGs.

I have never really liked what i had come up with in the past but now i feel i have finally got something i like and can push forward on. so here are the drafts:

Id love to know what you think.

I'm not sure how these will be 'packaged' yet, im more working on getting them finalised and then go from there.

OK i'l leave it there for now. again massive apoligies to you all and as always, thanks for your kind support and patience.

Chaser :)
