Oi Oi Gamedev and or Gamer!
Hope you are all well. I'm good, It's been a good month for me here, i'm not stressing out like i have been doing in recent months. Feels good that i'm not putting 'pressure' on myself by overdoing things, and as a result, i am on time this month with the asset releases. Yay! :)
So here they are:

Two themed character releases, Knight and Soldiers which are the second varied character types in this medieval series.
Heres how its all looking on the Roadmap. :)

You can see that i am at the half way point now. It would of been nice to of had this themed collection of sprites done by the end of the year, then start the next themed series in the new year, but given i have had all sorts of issues this year its not been possible to achieve that. However, things are better now, and i would hope to see a more structured, steady flow of releases in the new year, OK this medieval series will roll over into next year, but i have already begun drafting the other themed collection of assets, Such as 'Fantasy', 'Western', 'Oceanic' ,'Modern' & 'Military'. I will towards the end of this year release the roadmaps for them so you can see what's up and coming over the next few years. :)
Game Development:
It has been a long time since i have been able to get back into programming and i'm pleased to finally have some time back so i can get back into it. I have been tinkering around with a few bits and pieces here and there to just get myself reacquainted with coding as it appears i have forgotten how to do somethings as its been that long, and some changes in Gamemakers IDE have throw me a curve ball on occassions. That said, i have looked into the projects currently on pause and assessing where their at and what needs to be done to push these projects on.
Skelly:
Generally, it's not in to bad a shape, there's a fairly decent foundation here already. Story pretty much written, it's really about connecting it all with storyboarding and letting that story unfold as the game progresses. This progression needs filling out with its environments, characters and gameplay. So level design and setting up 'puzzles' and objectives needs to be drafted out which is now ongoing. :)
couple of screen shots to remind you of the 'speccy'ness game.

Lone: Elemental stones:
This is my biggest project undertaking. I have pretty big ambitions with this game. I have tinkered with this RPG over a few years. I released a small demo a long time ago, nothing much to it though, but it's story and potential has stuck with me for quite sometime. The story isn't particularly fleshed out in any depth, but ideas often come to mind, as well as game mechanics, environments, characters etc which are at this point still floating around in my head. What i need to do is take the time to jot these things down, work them into a narrative and progress it, whilst working out its game play in the process. This particular project has a lot more elements to it then other projects i have in the pipeline, so this will be a lengthy development.
This project does have affiliation with the RPG series though, so there will be times that certain programming will take place for this project. Just this month i have re-written players movement, created a script to handle depth and sprite orientation. One of the things i mentioned last month was to create video GIFs for the RPG Asset series, to show what they look like in action, so this goes in some way to fulfilling that task, gives me the opportunity to test/check animations on asset releases and spot mistakes before release. So yeah, these two things kind of go hand in hand to some extent.

GX Offline:
A relatively small project that i attempted to create for a Gamemaker jam in association with Opera GX browser, Opera, the company which now own Gamemaker Studio. I never finished it really and was pretty buggy, but i did enter it i think, although i cant find it as i write this, lol. It's still a project i want to continue as there lots within it that can still teach me things, plus i am still interested in the browsers additions for gamemaker games, online leaderboards, tropheys, comps and recently their online multi player functionality with gamemaker. Not a priority project but has value for me to come back to it.

Island B:
Ah yes, Island B. Created for an OGA gamejam. I actually liked this a lot. This project really got my juices going and i had so many ideas of how i wanted to progress it.it got good feedback as well. A lot different from the usual platformer, RPG and Brawler mechanics i've been tinkering with over the years, so this will need some other time to dedicate to it to really flush it out. Not something i'm likely to do anytime soon, but will defo be made into something long term in the future.

Monstropolis:
Some of you may of thought id forgotten about this. No way!. This game has a very special place in my heart and it has long be an ambition of mine to complete it, however, it has a certain mechanic that i have no idea to do at this stage of my game development journey, so it stumps me a bit. I have no doubt i will do this eventually, but until i have a understanding of the basics in coding i'm am going to have to park it for now. I do think this game would be good for the Opera GX browser/online.

There are a couple of other projects knocking about as well, but these ones were worth mentioning.
It has been great having the time to go back to previous projects that i have created and i'm looking forward to getting started with them again. Although not all projects are in great condition, mechanically or even visually, there is lots to work with. Even projects that are not likely to progress anywhere they all have a foundation or something for me to work with that i can take into another project. They have all been created to help me learn a particular function.
I'm not going to have the time to develop these projects all at once that's for sure, and my time to programme will still be limited to a degree, so i will have to choose what project i work on, and that will most likely be dependant on what i need to learn. For example, i know i need an 'inventory' system, so will need to learn it, so the best project for that would be Lone, however that may take longer to learn then say a controller system, which will be better suited to say Skelly, so its going to depend on what time i have to spend on learning a function as to what project i work on in a month. Managing that time its important.
Anyways, i have waffled on long enough. :)
Thanks for your continued support, during what are really tough times financially for everyone. I really appreciate it. :)
Premium assets will be uploaded later or tomorrow. :)
