I think the overall pressure and workload for this game project is starting to overwhelm me a bit too much. Perhaps biting off more than I could chew I'm afraid.

I think I'm going to unfortunately declare this project a failure (FOR NOW).

I still really like the idea of this game, but I don't think it works too well in Rpgmaker, theres just far too many restrictions and tediousness when it comes to making simple changes like adding or replacing new items.

I would like to sometime in the future learn other engines, like godot at some point, so its likely this project may be picked up again in the future when I'm mentally feeling up for it, and I have a better engine to work with for something of this scale. For now, those who managed to beat week 7, you're entitled to a free full colour drawing, (Single character), and I will release all of the concept art for this project in the discord server in #⁠p-game-development too for everyone to view.

What will I work on instead? For now, I'm just kind of playing around with smaller projects that aren't really going anywhere. So when I have any updates for a possible new game project or other news, I'll be sure to share it.

I know this all comes as a disappointment to many, and I am truly sorry. 0.2 of Jel's Cafe will remain available to download for supporters, but will not be posted publicy outside of the Patreon.
