Update : A little venting and a change

Hi All!

Just wanted to give you all a heads up that I'm changing the way I'm asking for donations but first I want to explain some things.

I've mentioned this before, this isn't a full-time job for me - I actually have responsibilities that keep my life going. This is a hobby. Of course, it's nice to have the extra cash. Usually, that cash goes towards purchasing Daz resources, which can add up, contributing to other creators, and purchasing/subscribing to programs or apps that help me do this stuff. Creating these models is time-consuming. Sometimes, I enjoy it, and other times it's a drag. Your financial support encourages me to continue to do it :)

The first thing I do when creating a model is look to see if it's been done, I look to see if it's already been extracted from game. If it's out there - great. A lot of times, it's just free to download, which it should be. Sometimes a creator has done some extra - like colored textures that weren't colored or customized it. I usually avoid these, if I do use a model that someone has customized, I will give them a donation if they are asking, but normally I will just go and extract the model myself. Most majority of the models I have extracted myself from game files. It gives me more control over textures. IF the extraction process is just too involved, like you have to color every texture manually, or I just don't have the time, I will ask another creator to do it for me and pay a commission. I do not mind doing this since you all have been very kind in supporting me.

I don't want you to think you're paying for game models, I did not create these, I do not own these. I'd like to think you're supporting me in doing the job of converting them so you don't have to and showing you're appreciation for that work.

What does bug me is when I see a model I have just converted suddenly show up on a shop for $30. Now I have no proof it's my model, I'm sure they've updated materials and put their little spin on it, but it's a big coincidence some of these models you've not seen around before suddenly appear shortly after I've released one here. But I'm not gonna hassle with it. It's just not worth my time. But that $30 price tag really annoys me.

This all leads me to what I've been thinking. I've been trying to come up with a way to break this paywall thing that everyone and their mother is suddenly behind nowadays. I'm figuring it's best to be part of the solution, not the problem, and decided that all my models will be available to all.

At first, I thought of doing an early access, but why?

So, what's changed? Not a whole lot. Models will be public from release date. That's the story.

Starting with September, there will be two tier options: $5 support and $10 extra supporter.

Both tiers show your awesome support. At $10, you get to make a request that goes on a poll. At $5, you get to vote on that poll. I will also continue doing at least two models, poll winner and longest repeated poll option. So, eventually, your model request will be made.

I get asked all the time if I take commissions. I don't. I'd rather give my long-time patrons something they've been asking for.

While I've not pushed for recognition, I do appreciate it when I see it. My conversions are nowhere near perfect, but they are pretty good. It's the reason I started doing this in the first place. If you continue to support me, I'll continue to do this.

Thanks for reading all that! It felt good to vent :)

As always, thanks for your support.
