It had been a while since I had spent time doing some more detailed inking.  A good 7 months I'd say.  Nice to do it again.  I feel it gives the image a certain sharpness that wouldn't be there when just doing all the lighting through painting.

The size of the legs has less to do with some kind of difficulty with foreshortening and more to do with a desire to recreate a sort of wonky camera lens effect while sketching.  It ended up being a source of irritation as the image progressed.  I kept telling myself that it would work when all was finished, but I suppose that is up for debate.  Either way I'm calling it a stylistic choice :)

Even though I tried other colors, the blue highlights on the black glove and leggings just seemed to work best.  This is almost certainly a legacy trend from early comic days when blacks were often highlighted with a blue color.  Even with the advancements of printing and coloring techniques, this is one of those things that is still rather common.

Realistically everything would have been more grey if the implication is that the primary light source is a standard white light.  Such a strong blue would have influenced the whole image.  So inconsistent, but visually appealing.
