This here is what we call a successful failure. Successful because I think it turned out looking pretty decent (although I'll probably always struggle when trying to design covers...). A failure because I didn't quite achieve what I set out to do.
Everything about this image was meant to be done rather quickly, just to see if I could speed things up some. Not so much because I care about going faster, but because I just wanted to be a little bit more free-flowing. The sketch went pretty fast, as did the inking.
And like FTBT, I was going to leave it just black & white. But I thought I'd see if I could color it fast too. That was going well until I decided that I would add a BG and turn it into a cover. Then in typical fashion things slowed way down. Considering the end result, there's no reason for that.
Ah well! Just room for improvement, yeah?
