The Major and Sango Preview
Added 2022-06-22 19:09:40 +0000 UTCHere's the preview for Ghost in the Shell's The Major and Inuyasha's Sango.
I decided to go with the GitS: SAC 2045 version of The Major.
Sango was commissioned by our very own DoubleDMiniatures.
I haven't had a chance to test print either as I had to buy a new LCD screen. I kinked the connector wire while I was cleaning resin out of my printer case which is all it takes to break them.
Hopefully, my printer will be back up and running after I install the new screen.

I have a photographic memory for shapes and parts. It's an ability of questionable utility but it helps at tracking things down. Am sure I've got an STL somewhere of Ghost in the Shell guns so can change it myself.

2022-06-24 21:45:50 +0000 UTCI'm impressed that you recognized that the pistol was based on a 1911. I originally sculpted it for Lara Croft and it made sense for her. I did consider sculpting a new gun for Motoko, but the issue is that such dedication to detail becomes a series of diminishing returns. At 32mm scale, the pistol in question will be about 5mm long. Even printed on an 8k printer it is highly unlikely that you could make out the specific make and model of a pistol on such a tiny figurine.

2022-06-24 21:41:50 +0000 UTCI see what you mean. GW pistols look like hair dryers. It's the same pistol I used for Lara Croft and Aya Brea. They both printed out ok for me.

2022-06-24 02:36:10 +0000 UTCESavage, I’m working on an Aya and Lara right now and hopefully will get to painting some more soon. Been printing like a mad man. The paint on your models is so good that I’m hesitant to post my garbage but I will soon for sure. The prints have been perfect so far.
