Sketch au Final

FR- J'avais envie de vous montrer un peu comment je travaille parfois pour mes BDS (et autres illustrations).

J'ai souvent l'idée générale d'une histoire en tête. Parfois, j'écris avant de passer aux esquisses et parfois, je vais directement aux esquisses et je laisse aller l’inspiration. Dans ce cas-ci, puisque l'histoire débutait dans la maison mais se finissait au dehors, je voulais faire un bon contraste des lumières et ombres. La scène extérieure, je ne la voulais pas trop noire pour ne pas perdre les personnages, alors la porte est volontairement laissée ouverte pour permettre de la lumière. Dans l'esquisse, on voit un peu comment je souhaite l'ambiance. Bien sur, certains éléments sont 'trichés' pour que l'on puisse bien voir.

I often have the general idea of

the story in mind. Sometimes I write it before I draw the sketches and sometimes I go straight to the sketches and let the inspiration go. In this case, since the story started in the house but ended outside, I wanted to create a good contrast of lights and shadows. The outside stage, I didn't want it too dark otherwise we could lose the characters, so the door is intentionally left open to allow light. In the sketch, we can see how I want the atmosphere. Of course, some elements are 'cheated' so that we can see clearly.
