January 2025 Wrap Up

What is this dark magic, the first month of 2025 is already behind us!? Well, I've started things off hot! Not only have I finished prepping The Shore of Dreams as well as another Side Quest for Dragon of Icespire Peak, but I've also begun work on updating my earlier prep in order to better accommodate the Visually Impaired. Based on the poll, it sounds like this will help quite a few people, and it's an enhancement that a lot of you just like in general! Don't worry though; I'll still be releasing my notes with my regular formatting as well!

You can find a complete list of everything I've updated near the bottom of the post, so let's dive right into updates for this month!

Releases for last month:

Shore of Dreams (The Complete Collection) - From Waterdeep to Baldur's Gate, you've heard whispers in every tavern and market square about a legendary treasure hidden along the Mistcliff of Chult. The infamous pirate Captain Jadescale and his crew supposedly buried untold riches somewhere along the rugged coastline before meeting their end at sea. The promise of such wealth is irresistible, and so you set your sights on finding this elusive prize. Can you unearth the secrets of the treasure of Captain Jadescale, or will you be undone by its mystery?

Dragon of Icespire Peak (Side Quest 2 Circle of Thunder) - Did your players find the map in Woodland Manse? Are they following Gorthok's trail after the attack on Falcon's Hunting Lodge, or perhaps they're helping Xanth? Either way, they find themselves on a journey to The Circle of Thunder. As they make their way there, they'll encounter a strange tree with wooden effigies surrounding it, have an unexpected encounter with a patrolling orc party, and when they finally arrive, they'll have to contend with the Anchorites of Talos attempting to summon Gorthok The Thunder Boar! Will they be able to stop the ritual, or will they find themselves face-to-face with electrified tusks!? Should your players prove valiant, they may even acquire a powerful new artifact to aid them on their journey!

Prep that has been updated for the Visually Impaired:

The Wild Sheep Chase: If you haven't heard of this one, you must be living under a rock, this is one of the most recommended One-Shots of all time! Your players will encounter a frantic sheep who will lead them on a journey that will confuse, delight, and perhaps even kill if they're not prepared!!!

Lost Mine of Phandelver Part 1 (Cragmaw Hideout): The level 1-5 Adventure where it all began. The very first starter campaign released for 5e by WoTC.

Dragons of Stormwreck Isle Part 1 (Dragons Rest): A level 1-3 Adventure that's sure to make waves! This is the most recent Starter Set and successor to The Lost Mine of Phandelver released by WoTC. In it, your players will sail to the titular Stormwreck Isle, an island shaped by an age of conflict between Chromatic and Metallic Dragons. They'll be able to befriend kobolds, explore fungal grottos, fight those twisted by Orcus, and perhaps save the very island itself!

Dragon of Icespire Peak Part 1 (Phandalin):  A level 1-6 Adventure that's a bit frosty! This is part of the Essentials Kit, released between Dragon of Stormwreck Isle and The Lost Mine of Phandelver, all created by WoTC.
